Description
The ActiveCare Rotating Lift Assist Bed offers users the ability to control MedMizer’s innovative pivoting function at the touch of a button. Integrated into the convenient pendant controls, the Auto-Pivot feature assists with standing, sitting upright, and transferring in and out of bed. It allows the bed to smoothly transition into a seated position so that users can comfortably place their feet on the floor and safely enter or exit the bed—eliminating the need for shifting, scooting, or swinging legs over the bed’s edge.
The fixed-height frame is available in a standard 12.5" height, with additional height options of 15.5" for greater customization. The 12.5" model has a stationary base without wheels, while the 15.5" version includes 3" rolling casters to provide mobility for those who need to move the bed easily. Regardless of the chosen height, all positioning and Auto-Pivot adjustments can be easily managed with the included hand pendant.
One of the most unique aspects of the Rotating Lift Assist Bed is its ability to disconnect at the foot section. Caregivers can simply push the foot section away from the bed, creating a chair-like sitting surface that clears the user’s path for easier transfers, care tasks, and therapy. The bed’s back section also supports a High Fowler position, allowing users to sit fully upright—an essential feature for those needing respiratory or therapeutic support.
The Rotating Lift Assist Bed’s advanced design requires it's own special mattress and sheets, and a set of these unique sheets is included with purchase; however, an extra set is recommended for convenience. The different mattress options are described here. Available in a standard width of 36", the bed can also be ordered in a wider 42" width for additional comfort.
